When we found this old cottage in the ‘golden grid’ of Byron Bay, we knew it required significant restoration, but saw an opportunity to create something enduring.

We developed a clear vision to renovate and extend it, respecting the existing building character, creating a relaxed environment to play and rest in, and finally experimenting with textures and materials.

We were the building contractor and architect for this project and successfully completed the construction phase over 7 months with the support of many talented local tradesman.
