The design brief for this
pre-war cottage on a small lot in Brisbane was to provide a new kitchen, bathroom, living space and deck for a growing, young family.

We extended this brief and shared a vision with the client to connect their living spaces to the backyard. The result; a series of playful, light filled spaces, using proportions and volumes found in the original cottage and built with a strong connection to the backyard.
